One of our clients here in Round Rock told us that her baby’s nursery theme is "Let the Adventure Begin!”. After bouncing around some ideas for her newborn photo session, we decided on a hot-air balloon prop. We thought this would fit perfectly with the theme.
We don’t typically use digital backgrounds as props, but we were short on time and couldn’t find a suitable hot air balloon prop. We found a pretty cute digital background online and went with that. We already have the stormy cloud background from LemonDropShop and some cloud overlays, so we crafted an image that blended all of these together.
Here’s the original image that SOOC. We had a wicker basket and our client provided the baby blanket. Michelle held the baby and I snapped the pic. I also snapped a photo of the background alone so that I could blend it in using Photoshop.

The digital background of the hot air balloon was added, and I had to do some creative cloning and blurring to attach the balloon to the basket. To finish the image, I added the cloud overlays and it was done!
We think it turned out great, and our client was very happy! What do y’all think?
